I received an email explaining that I need to change my password?
In conjunction with the recent and upcoming roll-outs of several new cPanel security features, all customers will be required to change passwords to new, stronger passwords that meet stricter security requirements. These new requirements are designed to protect customers from potential security risks due to weak or easily guessable passwords.
If you received a link in the email we sent you:
Click on the link in the email to be taken to the login page; you may need to copy and paste the link into your web browser.
Enter a new password. This new password must contain at least 8 characters consisting of at least one upper case letter, one number and one special character.
Reenter the password in the following field.
Click Change Password.
Once you have changed your password you will need to log back in to the cPanel. This new password is used for your cPanel, SSH and your main FTP account.
If you recieved a temporary password in the email we sent you:
Copy the password; make sure to just copy the 10 character password, without any spaces.
Go to https://www.bluehost.com/cgi-bin/password
Log in using your Domain Name and the Temporary Password.
Paste the Temporary Password that we sent you in the Old Password field.
Enter a new password. This new password must contain at least 8 characters consisting of at least one upper case letter, one number and one special character.
Reenter the password in the following field.
Click Change Password.
